Description
The Jewish Museum’s landmark exhibit, Primary Structures (April 27 through June 12, 1966), defined Minimalism and represented a turning point in contemporary sculpture. Included in the exhibit were 42 artists working with basic, geometric forms, notably Donald Judd, Robert Smithson, Sol Lewitt, Dan Flavin and Ellsworth Kelly.
