Special issue devoted to Black Mountain College, the progressive and influential arts institution, founded in 1933 in North Carolina. Alvin Lustig designed the cover, inside typography and contributed an article titled Graphic Design which describes the course he taught at the college, “Graphic design, like architecture, is an industrial process and demands complete mastery of all technical conditions.” With contributions by: Anni Albers, Josef Albers, Lyonel Feininger, Walter Gropius, Robert Motherwell and more.
