Advertising Typographers Association, USA, 9 x 6", 28 pp., English
Published in the interest of better graphic communications. The first issue of Type Talks appeared in 1945 and well over 100 issues were produced. After a hiatus, they resumed publication with this issue (New Series, Volume 1, No. 1, Fall 1989) including a fantastic (uncommon) cover designed by Paul Rand, a 6-page interview with Rand conducted by Mario Rampone of PDR on April 16, 1989 and more.
By mixing classical and modern typefaces, Mr. Rand demonstrates that good design is timeless–depending not on style, but on quality. For images: Paul Rand, American Modernist
A fine, original Paul Rand design printed in two colors on a glossy stock. Increasingly difficult to find.
