An extensive collection of Piet Zwart's typographical work from 1921–1931. Preface by Fridolin Muller and introduction by Peter F. Althaus illustrated with 95 color plates of asymmetry, functional arrangement, dramatic typography, De Stijl color palettes and imaginative layouts – all expressing Zwart's commitment to the development of the New Typography. Zwart said, the more uninteresting a letter, the more useful it is to the typography. An excellent inspiration!

Very good white glazed covered boards unevenly faded with a small bump to the lower corner and .25” chip/tear to the spine head. Interior bright with foxing on the endpapers.
