A unique opportunity to acquire an original graphics standards manual. The United States Bicentennial was a series of nationwide celebrations and observances, which culminated with the 200th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on Sunday, July 4, 1976. The symbol and manual helped unite the diverse events and better explain their usage. The manual establishes the visual language policies and formal graphic rules: Categories of Use, Authorized Versions of Symbol, Incorrect Uses of Symbol, Construction of Symbol, Use of Color, Printing Ink Guidelines, Type Styles, Symbol in 3-Dimensional Relief Treatment and Applications of the Symbol to illustrate situations such as: television, stationery, brochures, vehicles and more.

This original manual (and essay by us) is including in Manuals 1: Design & Identity Guidelines by Unit Editions.

A very good softcover, stapled manual with light wear and bends to the corners and some soiling to the covers. Front cover binding starting to pull from staples but all pages intact.
