Arthur Niggli Ltd., Teufen AR, Switzerland, 10 x 7.25", 96 pp., English
1st English Edition. Gerstner's most important work includes: four essays and an introduction by Karl Gerstner with an introduction to the introduction titled Pro-Programmatic by Paul Gredinger (of Gerstner, Kutter, Gredinger). A thought-provoking and heavily illustrated look at Gerstner's design methodologies including: Programme as typeface, Programme as typography, Programme as picture and Programme as method. Perhaps the German annotations (Programmes and by Karl are circled with illegible writing in ink) on the front-matter page are by Gerstner.
A near fine softcover with a light bend to the upper right-hand corner throughout. A very good, paper wrapper with a small amount of paper loss to spine and back top. Interior tight and unmarked.
