Published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name held at the Herb Lubalin Study Center (NYC) 2.24 to 4.5, 2003. Foreward by Robert Rindler, Introduction by Curator, Philippe Apeloig, A bird's-eye view of French graphic design since 1945 by Margo Rouard-Snowman and a detailed discussion between Widmer and Apeloig.

Not nearly as well known in the United States as other modernist designers, Swiss designer, Jean Widmer is “of similar significance to Paul Rand in terms of his integration of modernist concepts into graphic design.” Apeloig states: “Jean Widmer's style, or better yet, spirit, is singular: conceptual, spare, elegant, serious, utilitarian and, though rooted in an innate devotion to modernism, endlessly responsive to change.” Wonderful!

A near fine softcover exhibition catalog with light wear and foxing to the white cover and interior.
