Catalog Design Progress is Sutnar's 1950 follow-up to his seminal Catalog Design. In this volume, Sutnar more elaborately addresses his ideas and techniques for the advancement of catalog design standards. The result is both an analytical and visual approach to a more practical information design book. Includes the uncommon folded (11.25 x 14) publishers book prospectus and order form, also designed by Sutnar. A must have – highly recommended!

A near fine silkscreen printed stiff washable cover with its' complete, VG+ uncommon dust jacket and intact plastic-comb binding. Slight wear to the heel of the spine with soiling and fingerprints (as expected) to the heavy cardboard jacket. Light foxing to the half-title page with a clean and bright interior. The plastic yellow (or sometimes blue) front free endpaper has been removed and the half-title page is pulled from the spiral binding. Beautifully designed and printed on 100 lb. dull coated paper, lavishly illustrated in four color. A wonderful copy!
