An impressive book with more than 350 b/w and color examples (some full page) illustrating Stankowski's ideas and approaches to both personal and commissioned (free and applied) work problems. Introduction by friend and colleague, Hans Neuburg. A detailed survey for those interested in functional, geometric, problem-solving graphic design and typography. Stankowski was instrumental in experimenting with and establishing objective, industrial graphics in the 1930s. A very useful book, highly recommended.

A fine white cloth hardcover with a previous owner's name in black marker. The near fine dust jacket includes a few large scratches to the front.
